Groups Sales Manager

Introduction

The Westbury, situated in the heart of Mayfair, features 225 guest rooms and suites, all elegantly furnished and newly redesigned by Alex Kravetz Designs. Guests will enjoy a unique culinary experience at Alyn Williams at The Westbury, the hotel’s Michelin-starred restaurant, or experience exquisite Japanese cuisine in the intimate Tsukiji Sushi Restaurant. Under the same roof is the multi-award winning Polo Bar.  The hotel also features two large meeting rooms, two exclusive private dining rooms and a fitness centre.

We are looking for a Groups Sales Manager to maximise revenues and profits within the Groups / Events segments. The Groups Sales Manager will solicit new leads, confirm and manage group business in local and national markets as well as the Sport & Entertainment industries directly from corporate accounts, sponsors and specialised agencies.

Role responsibilities

Role responsibilities include keeping up to date with current market conditions, competitors and clients to establish strong sales programmes; proactively be knowledgeable of events, meetings and opportunities that can present potential sales; effectively plan outreach methods to secure new clients and maintain current business; to maximise revenue and ensuring that departmental targets are met.

Person specification

The ideal candidate will have a minimum 2 years’ experience in a proactive sales role within a London Five Star Hotel.  You will be familiar with Groups and Events management software such as Delphi and have a good working knowledge of Opera, Microsoft Office and any Sales company software. You will also have a passion for the Luxury hotel industry and excellent communication skills.

 We are looking for a charismatic, team player, go-getter who has strong organisational skills and maintains a high level of attention to detail.

Sushi Chef (Tsukiji)

We are looking for a Chef with the skill to produce a high quality range of authentic Sushi and Sashimi who is ready to take on the next stage of their career.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work with experienced Sushi Chefs in a modern, dynamic environment.

To make the most of this opportunity, you will also need the drive and ambition to join us in making a success of this venture.

As our kitchen is an integral part of the restaurant requiring our chefs to interact directly with our diners, you must be able to demonstrate a level of spoken English and inter-personal skills to meet the expectations of our clients.

We are currently looking to recruit a Commis Waiter/ Waitress to work in our breakfast room with the commitment and ability to add value to our customers experience.

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in a similar role. You must be flexible, well presented, hardworking and used to very high standards.

Good spoken English is a must.
